The Non-Designer's Design Book
Robin Williams
"The Non-Designer's Design Book: Design and Typographic Principles for the Visual Novice" to give it the full title is another gem from Robin Williams keyboard.
Now that we have thousands of computer users churning out flyers, posters and newsletters the quality of design we see has gone down hill, fast. This book could reverse the trend. It explains, using Robin's usual light, entertaining style, some of the basic principles to designing a good looking page and gives examples.
Don't misunderstand the target audience of this book. If you know anything about design or have studied it at any level then this book is not for you. If, like me, you are just Joe Average and asked to produce decent looking documents then this will improve your designs tremendously.
