What is it about the Macintosh? I went looking for a really good reference on Windows for a friend and couldnąt find one. On the Macintosh I have a hard time deciding if this book or Mac Bible is the must buy book.
This one is a little less user friendly for those right at the bottom end, and includes a lot of stuff that exerienced users will find handy, so I'd have to say that if you've had the Mac more than a few months you want this one.
The CD that comes with the book has the entire text searchable as well as a whole bunch of useful shareware and commercial software (some of it actually licensed so you get your money back on that).
So the conclusion is buy either this or The Macintosh Bible for your bookshelf.
